How do i run my ActiveTeach/Book on Mac?

Although many of our products were not explicitly designed for use on Mac we may have included the requisite files to enable ActiveBook to be launched on Mac.  Please follow these instructions carefully.

  1. insert the disc
  2. copy the content of the CD to your hard drive
  3. once it has copied over locate the folder containing a file named "wrapper.exe"
  4. extract the “wrapper.osx.hqx” file within this folder.  This may require ‘StuffIt Expander’ (available at www.stuffit.com )
-NOTE: if this file is not apparent there is no Mac compatibility.
  5. open the accompanying “xtras” folder
  6. delete the existing “MouseWheelXtra” file
  7. extract “MouseWheelXtra.zip”, “bm170.hqx”, “FileIO PPC Xtra.zip” and “FileXtra4-Mac.sit” (this particular file may require dragging onto StuffIt Expander)
  8. launch the program by double-clicking on “wrapper.osx”
