To perform a manual installation on your computer (or to script a network distribution of the program) follow the steps below:

1. Insert the CD-ROM.
2. Cancel the installation (if auto-run is enabled on your machine)
3. Right-click on the CD-ROM and select Explore.
4. Locate the 'Program Files' directory on the CD.
5. Right-click on this directory and select Copy.
6. Double click on My Computer.
7. Right-click on your hard drive (usually C:\).
8. Select Paste.
9. Once the files have copied, navigate to the new Pelican Big Books directory and launch the Create Shortcut on Client.exe to create the desktop and Start Menu shortcuts.

If your drive has difficulty reading the media, you should try reading the disk on at least two other machines.
If you are still unable to copy the files then contact the CD-ROM helpdesk for further assistance by email.
