Who should use this patch?
If you are running the following titles, on a Windows 98 or Windows ME
operating system and are experiencing difficulties with accessing one
or more of the titles, then you should apply the relevant patch(es).
Click on the title to download a ZIP archive file containing the patch
for the specific title.
How do I know if I need the patch?
You have installed more than one of the above titles, but only the last
one that you installed seems to work correctly.
Why is this patch necessary?
Licensed software allows us to add database services alongside
our applications. On NT-based platforms (NT, 2000, XP) the service is
registered in the Windows registry as a unique application.
Windows 98 and ME fail to recognise the applications as unique and as a result
only the last installation will work correctly.
What does this patch do?
This patch addresses the issue by replacing one file called 'Scripts.cxt'.
The fix checks that the required service is running, and if not, starts it
manually.
