Knowledge Base KnowledgeBox Troubleshooting Is there a quick way to test if the workstation I'm working on works with the KnowledgeBox?

Is there a quick way to test if the workstation I'm working on works with the KnowledgeBox?

This article applies to:

KnowledgeBox version: all
Workstation OS: Microsoft Windows (98 or higher)
Browser versions: all

Open up your internet browser. In the address bar type in the following URL http://midlands-demo.uk.knowledgebox.com:9000/

This is a fully updated and working KnowledgeBox that is available on the internet and can be accessed from any computer that has internet access. It is therefore useful in testing workstations to see if the KnowledgeBox in the school is the culprit of a problem or is the workstation itself.

An account has been set up on this box for testing, please contact customer services for the login name and password. (This box and account should not be used for any other purpose) Use it to see if you can log on and if the different media types work on the workstation.

Bare in mind this KnowledgeBox connection will be over the internet, so it will be much slower than a local KnowledgeBox server. It will be especially slow in the case of ISDN schools.
