KnowledgeBox runs webserver software on port 9000. So, to access KnowledgeBox you need to go to

http://IP.address.of.knowledgebox:9000/

If you have an Equiinet Cachepilot or Appliansys CacheBox variety of KnowledgeBox, going to

http://IP.address.of.knowledgebox/

will give you access to the caching software's user interface.

KnowledgeBox accesses the KnowledgeBox central servers over the Internet using standard web protocols (HTTP) on port 80 and as such should not need a firewall rule change for most network environments.
